They claim that this strain does not cluster with any of the other members of the family Rhizobiaceae (in the Alphaproteobacteria). They do not give a new taxonomic placement, however the tree they show based on 16S rRNA data places the strain within the Brucellaceae (in the Betaproteobacteria. Shinella zoogloeoides is the earlier name and has priority, therefore we are showing the earlier taxonomic placement in the Alphaproteobacteria in the database.
