Abstract
The author draws upon an earlier article by anthropologist Stanley Brandes to recommend that when the intent and purposes of relating a life story are clearly anthropological, the work be labelled `ethnographic autobiography'. An ethnographic autobiography is defined as a life story told to an anthropologist or used in ways that implicate a sociocultural rather than a psychological interpretation.References
