Abstract
The impact of collective bargaining was assessed using a statewide sample of full-time teaching faculty randomly selected from forty-six campuses of community colleges in Illinois. The extent of actual and preferred impact in twenty areas of institutional decision making was measured. Similarities and differences between faculty in colleges with collective bargaining contracts and faculty in colleges without such contracts were identified, analyzed, and compared. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
