Abstract

The author deeply regrets that full citation of previous work on the first formation of thiophenes based on this chemistry was not provided explicitly in the published manuscript text. Reaction of compound 3 to obtain thiophenes have previously been described in literature.1 The author would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.
