Nomenclatural History
The species Ehrlichia sennetsu was originally described by Ristic and Huxsoll 1984. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 15 in 1984. Ristic and Huxsoll formed this name in 1984 by placing the species Misao and Kobayashi 1956 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Moshkovski 1945 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Dumler et al. 2001. In 2001, Dumler et al. established as the basonym of (Misao and Kobayashi 1956) Dumler et al. 2001 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 .
