Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Neorickettsia was originally proposed by Philip et al. 1953. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Philip published an emended description of this genus in 1974. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Dumler et al. in 2001.
