Nomenclatural History
The species Holospora caryophila was originally described by Preer et al. 1974. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1982 the name was revived and validly published by Preer and Preer. This name replaces the name Preer et al. 1974 .
