Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Ketogulonicigenium was originally proposed and validly published by Urbance et al. 2001. List Editor corrected this name from Ketogulonigenium (sic) to Ketogulonicigenium .
Although Tindall 2019 did not state this, the nomenclatural type is based upon a patent strain and is therefore illegitimate. Consequently, this genus is also illegitimate until a publicly available deposit is made available.
