Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Octadecabacter was originally proposed by Gosink et al. 1997. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 64 in 1998. Park and Yoon published an emended description of this genus in 2014. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Billerbeck et al. in 2015.
