Nomenclatural History
|
The species Paracoccus carotinifaciens was originally described and validly published by Tsubokura et al. 1999.
Tindall 2019 asserts that this name contravenes Rule 30 of the ICNP because no nomenclatural type has been deposited in conformity with Rule 30. This strain may be lost, and this name is considered to therefore be illegitimate until a neotype is proposed.
