The species Paracoccus kondratievae was originally described by Doronina and Trotsenko 2000. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 82 in 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Doronina et al. published an emended description of this species in 2002.
