Nomenclatural History
The species Paracoccus versutus was originally described by Katayama et al. 1995. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 57 in 1996. Liu et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Katayama et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Harrison 1983 into the genus Davis et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Liu et al. 2008. Liu et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Ghosh et al. 2006 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 in 2020.
