Nomenclatural History
The genus Pseudorhodobacter was originally proposed by Uchino et al. 2002. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 92 in 2003. Jung et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2012. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Chen et al. in 2013, Lee et al. in 2013, Lee et al. in 2016 and Hördt et al. in 2020.
