Nomenclatural History	The species Pseudorhodobacter ferrugineus was originally described by Uchino et al. 2002. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 92 in 2003. Uchino et al. formed this name in 2002 by placing the species Agrobacterium ferrugineum (ex Ahrens and Rheinheimer 1967) Rüger and Höfle 1992 into the genus Pseudorhodobacter Uchino et al. 2003 emend. Hördt et al. 2020.
