Nomenclatural History
The species Silicibacter lacuscaerulensis was originally described by Petursdottir and Kristjansson 1997. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 71 in 1999. In 2007, Yi et al. established as the basonym of (Petursdottir and Kristjansson 1999) Yi et al. 2007 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 .
