Nomenclatural History	The species Staleya guttiformis was originally described and validly published by Labrenz et al. 2000. In 2007, Yoon et al. established Staleya guttiformis as the basonym of Sulfitobacter guttiformis (Labrenz et al. 2000) Yoon et al. 2007 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 .
