Nomenclatural History	The species Sphingomonas alaskensis was originally described and validly published by Vancanneyt et al. 2001. In 2003, Godoy et al. established Sphingomonas alaskensis as the basonym of Sphingopyxis alaskensis (Vancanneyt et al. 2001) Godoy et al. 2003 .
