Nomenclatural History	The species Sphingomonas natatoria was originally described by Yabuuchi et al. 1999. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 70 in 1999. Yabuuchi et al. formed this name in 1999 by placing the species Blastomonas natatoria (Sly 1985) Sly and Cahill 1997 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 into the genus Sphingomonas Yabuuchi et al. 1990 emend. Feng et al. 2017.
