Nomenclatural History
The species Sphingobium chlorophenolicum was originally described and validly published by Takeuchi et al. 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Takeuchi et al. formed this name in 2001 by placing the species Nohynek et al. 1996 into the genus Takeuchi et al. 2001 emend. Li et al. 2013.
