Nomenclatural History	The species Rhizobium mediterraneum was originally described and validly published by Nour et al. 1995. In 1997, Jarvis et al. established Rhizobium mediterraneum as the basonym of Mesorhizobium mediterraneum (Nour et al. 1995) Jarvis et al. 1997 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 .
