Nomenclatural History
The species Agrobacterium rhizogenes was originally described by Conn 1942. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Sawada et al. published an emended description of this species in 1993. In 2001, Young et al. established as the basonym of (Riker et al. 1930) Young et al. 2001 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 .
