Nomenclatural History
The species Agrobacterium stellulatum was originally described by Stapp and Knösel 1954. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1992 the name was revived and validly published by Rüger and Höfle. In 1998, Uchino et al. established as the basonym of (Rüger and Höfle 1992) Uchino et al. 1999 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 .
