The species Agrobacterium vitis was originally described and validly published by Ophel and Kerr 1990. In 2001, Young et al. established as the basonym of (Ophel and Kerr 1990) Young et al. 2001 . In 2015, Mousavi et al. established as the basonym of (Ophel and Kerr 1990) Mousavi et al. 2016 emend. Kuzmanović et al. 2022 .
