Nomenclatural History

The genus Chelatobacter was originally proposed by Auling et al. 1993. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 46 in 1993. Kämpfer et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Aminobacter Urakami et al. 1992 emend. Kämpfer et al. 2002
in 2002.
