Nomenclatural History
The species Ensifer adhaerens was originally described and validly published by Casida 1982. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 84 in 2008. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Young established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Wang et al. 2002 in 2003. In 2003, Willems et al. established as the basonym of (Casida 1982) Willems et al. 2003 .
