Nomenclatural History
The species Sinorhizobium adhaerens was originally described by Willems et al. 2003. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 84 in 2008. Willems et al. formed this name in 2003 by placing the species Casida 1982 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 into the genus Chen et al. 1988 emend. Kuzmanović et al. 2022.

Not validly published, since the name was proposed in anticipation of Opinion 84.
