Nomenclatural History
The species Sinorhizobium kummerowiae was originally described and validly published by Wei et al. 2002. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 84 in 2008. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. In 2003, Young established as the basonym of (Wei et al. 2002) Young 2003 .

The emendation by Kuzmanović et al. 2022 only declared the genome characteristics, which do not satisfy the requirements of a change in taxon characters.
