Nomenclatural History

The genus Aminobacter was originally proposed and validly published by Urakami et al. 1992. Kämpfer et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2002. Kämpfer et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Chelatobacter Auling et al. 1993
in 2002.
