Nomenclatural History
The species Aminobacter aminovorans was originally described and validly published by Urakami et al. 1992. Kämpfer et al. published an emended description of this species in 2002. Urakami et al. formed this name in 1992 by placing the species den Dooren de Jong 1926 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Urakami et al. 1992 emend. Kämpfer et al. 2002. Kämpfer et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Auling et al. 1993 in 2002.
