Nomenclatural History
The species Mesorhizobium mediterraneum was originally described and validly published by Jarvis et al. 1997. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Jarvis et al. formed this name in 1997 by placing the species Nour et al. 1995 into the genus Jarvis et al. 1997.
