Nomenclatural History

The family Beijerinckiaceae was originally proposed by Garrity et al. 2005. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 107 in 2006. Dedysh et al. published an emended description of this family in 2016. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Hördt et al. in 2020.
