Nomenclatural History	The species Rhodopseudomonas adriatica was originally described by Neutzling et al. 1984. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 16 in 1984. In 1984, Imhoff et al. established Rhodopseudomonas adriatica as the basonym of Rhodobacter adriaticus (Neutzling et al. 1984) Imhoff et al. 1984 .
