Nomenclatural History
The genus Labrys was originally proposed by Vasilyeva and Semenov 1984. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 18 in 1985. Islam et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2007. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Albert et al. in 2010.
