Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Rhodomicrobium was originally proposed by Duchow and Douglas 1949. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Pfennig and Trüper published an emended description of this genus in 1974. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Imhoff et al. in 1984.
