Nomenclatural History	The species Methylobacterium mesophilicum was originally described and validly published by Green and Bousfield 1983. Green and Bousfield formed this name in 1983 by placing the species Pseudomonas mesophilica Austin and Goodfellow 1979 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Methylobacterium Patt et al. 1976 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Alessa et al. 2021.
