Nomenclatural History
The species Methylobacterium radiotolerans was originally described and validly published by Green and Bousfield 1983. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Green and Bousfield formed this name in 1983 by placing the species Ito and Iizuka 1971 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Patt et al. 1976 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Alessa et al. 2021.
