Nomenclatural History
The species Methylobacterium rhodesianum was originally described and validly published by Green et al. 1988. Kato et al. published an emended description of this species in 2008. Kato et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Doronina et al. 2002 in 2005. In 2018, Green and Ardley established as the basonym of (Green et al. 1988) Green and Ardley 2018 .
