Nomenclatural History	The species Burkholderia cepacia was originally described by Yabuuchi et al. 1992. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 45 in 1993. Yabuuchi et al. formed this name in 1992 by placing the species Pseudomonas cepacia (ex Burkholder 1950) Palleroni and Holmes 1981 into the genus Burkholderia Yabuuchi et al. 1993 emend.
