Nomenclatural History
|
The species Burkholderia gladioli was originally described by Yabuuchi et al. 1992. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 45 in 1993. Yabuuchi et al. formed this name in 1992 by placing the species
Pseudomonas gladioli Severini 1913 (Approved Lists 1980)
into the genus Burkholderia Yabuuchi et al. 1993 emend. Dobritsa and Samadpour 2019. Coenye et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Burkholderia cocovenenans (van Damme et al. 1960) Gillis et al. 1995
in 1999. Coenye et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Pseudomonas antimicrobica Attafuah and Bradbury 1990
in 2000.
