Nomenclatural History
The species Burkholderia plantarii was originally described and validly published by Urakami et al. 1994. Urakami et al. formed this name in 1994 by placing the species Azegami et al. 1987 into the genus Yabuuchi et al. 1993 emend. Dobritsa and Samadpour 2019. Coenye et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Urakami et al. 1994 in 1999.
