Nomenclatural History
The species Burkholderia pyrrocinia was originally described and validly published by Vandamme et al. 1997. Storms et al. published an emended description of this species in 2004. Vandamme et al. formed this name in 1997 by placing the species Imanaka et al. 1965 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Yabuuchi et al. 1993 emend. Dobritsa and Samadpour 2019.
