Nomenclatural History	The species Burkholderia solanacearum was originally described by Yabuuchi et al. 1992. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 45 in 1993. Yabuuchi et al. formed this name in 1992 by placing the species Pseudomonas solanacearum (Smith 1896) Smith 1914 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Burkholderia Yabuuchi et al. 1993 emend. Dobritsa and Samadpour 2019. In 1995, Yabuuchi et al. established Burkholderia solanacearum as the basonym of Ralstonia solanacearum (Smith 1896) Yabuuchi et al. 1996 emend. Safni et al. 2014 .
