Nomenclatural History	The species Ralstonia pickettii was originally described by Yabuuchi et al. 1995. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 57 in 1996. Yabuuchi et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Burkholderia pickettii (Ralston et al. 1973) Yabuuchi et al. 1993 into the genus Ralstonia Yabuuchi et al. 1996.
