Nomenclatural History
The species Ralstonia basilensis was originally described by Steinle et al. 1998. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 71 in 1999. Goris et al. published an emended description of this species in 2001. In 2004, Vaneechoutte et al. established as the basonym of (Steinle et al. 1999) Vaneechoutte et al. 2004 .
