Nomenclatural History
The species Ralstonia eutropha was originally described by Yabuuchi et al. 1995. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 57 in 1996. Yabuuchi et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Davis et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Yabuuchi et al. 1996. In 2004, Vaneechoutte et al. established as the basonym of (Davis et al. 1969) Vaneechoutte et al. 2004 . Vandamme and Coenye established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Makkar and Casida 1987 in 2004.
