Nomenclatural History	The species Herbaspirillum rubrisubalbicans was originally described and validly published by Baldani et al. 1996. Baldani et al. formed this name in 1996 by placing the species Pseudomonas rubrisubalbicans (Christopher and Edgerton 1930) Krasil'nikov 1949 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Herbaspirillum Baldani et al. 1986 emend. Carro et al. 2012.
