Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Comamonas was originally proposed by Davis and Park 1962. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1985 the name was revived and validly published by De Vos et al.. Tamaoka et al. published an emended description of this genus in 1987. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Willems et al. in 1991 and Zhang et al. in 2013.
