Nomenclatural History
The species Comamonas acidovorans was originally described and validly published by Tamaoka et al. 1987. Willems et al. published an emended description of this species in 1991. Tamaoka et al. formed this name in 1987 by placing the species den Dooren de Jong 1926 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus (ex Davis and Park 1962) De Vos et al. 1985 emend. Zhang et al. 2013. In 1999, Wen et al. established as the basonym of (den Dooren de Jong 1926) Wen et al. 1999 .
