Nomenclatural History	The species Comamonas aquatica was originally described and validly published by Wauters et al. 2003. Wauters et al. formed this name in 2003 by placing the species Aquaspirillum aquaticum Hylemon et al. 1973 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Comamonas (ex Davis and Park 1962) De Vos et al. 1985 emend. Zhang et al. 2013.
