Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Acidovorax avenae avenae was originally described and validly published by Willems et al. 1992. Willems et al. formed this name in 1992 by placing the subspecies Manns 1991 into the species (Manns 1909) Willems et al. 1992 emend. Schaad et al. 2008. Schaad et al. elevated the species (Manns 1909) Willems et al. 1992 emend. Schaad et al. 2008 to the rank of subspecies to form this name in 2008.
